[04] [01] Assault
- Knowingly, recklessly, or intentionally causing bodily injury to another.
- Threatening imminent bodily injury.
- Causing physical contact where the actor knows it will be offensive.
Assault is a Misdemeanour Offense.
Fine: $850
[04] [02] Aggravated Assault
- Causes serious bodily injury.
- Causes bodily injury to one the suspect knows is a peace officer in the lawful discharge of his duties.
- Involves the use of a deadly weapon in making an assault.
Aggravated Assault is a Felony Offense.
Fine: $1,250
[04] [03] Deadly Assault on an Officer
- Uses a firearm or prohibited weapon and causes serious bodily injury to one the actor knows is a peace officer in the lawful discharge of their duties.
Deadly Assault on an Officer is a Felony Offense.
Fine: $7,500
[04] [04] Injury to a Child
- Causes serious bodily injury, deformity, or impairment to a child under 14. Info: This includes reckless or criminally negligent conduct, in addition to knowing and intentional conduct.
Injury to a Child is a Felony Offense.
Fine: $3,500
[04] [05] Reckless Conduct
- Where one recklessly places another in imminent danger of serious bodily injury. Info: Recklessness and danger are presumed when one points a firearm (loaded or unloaded) at another person(s).
Reckless Conduct is a Misdemeanour Offense.

[04] [06] Terrorist Threats
Info: When one threatens to commit a crime of violence and:
- Intends to cause a reaction by agencies organized to deal with emergencies.
- Intends to place fear of imminent serious bodily injury.
- Intends to prevent the use of a building, assembly, public place, or aircraft.
Terrorist Threats is a Felony Offense.
