[16] [20] Vehicle Equipment
All motor vehicles that are operated on a roadway must be equipped with the following equipment (listed below). For the purpose of this section, a golf cart is considered a motorcycle as long as the golf cart is being operated on a roadway that has a speed limit of 25 MPH or less.
- Headlights: Exception: Motorcycles may only have one headlight.
- Red Taillights: Must be enabled during darkness or in climate weather.
- Red Breaking Lights
- Turn Signals: Turn signals are not required if hand signals are being used in a commercial vehicle.
- White Reverse Indicator
- Windshield: Exception: Motorcycles.
- Rear Viewing Mirrors
- Horn
All vehicles must not be equipped with the following:
- ^ Flashing lights: Exception: Emergency vehicles, construction vehicles, utility vehicles, tow vehicles, and turn signals.
- ^ Vehicle Lighting
- ^ Vehicle Markings: Non-emergency vehicles must not be equipped with any markings that match those on an emergency vehicle.
- ^ Sirens: Exception: Emergency Vehicles.
- ^ Armour Plating.
Vehicle equipment is an Infraction.
Fine: $200 Per Violation.
If the offense is marked with ^ then the vehicle may be impounded at the discretion of the officer.
