[16] [06] Traffic Signals - Responsibilities at Green Light

  1. A driver facing a circular green signal shall proceed straight through or turn right or left. Any driver, including one turning, shall yield the right-of-way to other traffic and to pedestrians lawfully within the the intersections or adjacent crosswalks.
  2. A driver facing a green signal shown immediately in front of a marked lane for left or right turn shall enter the intersection to make the movement indicated by the paved markings. Drivers may also make a u-turn from instead of a left turn less prohibited by a sign.

[16] [06] Traffic Signals - Responsibilities at Red Light

  1. A driver facing a circular red signal alone shall stop at the marked limit line. If there is no marked limit line, the driver shall stop before entering the intersection. The driver shall remain stopped until an indication to proceed is shown.
  2. Except when a signal is present prohibiting a turn, a driver after coming to a complete stop as required by element 1, facing a steady circular red sign, may turn right, or left from a one-way-street onto a one-way-street. A driver making a turn must yield the right-of-way to pedestrians lawfully within an adjacent crosswalk and any vehicle that has approached or is approaching closely as to constitute hazard to the driver.
  3. A driver facing a steady red signal shown immediately in front of a lane marked for a left turn shall not enter the intersection to make the movement indicated by the paved marking.
