[14] [04] Cruelty to Animals
Info: A person commits an offense if one intentionally or knowingly:
- Tortures or seriously overworks an animal.
- Fails unreasonably to provide necessary food, care, or shelter for an animal in ones custody.
- Abandons unreasonably an animal in ones custody.
- Transports or confines an animal in a cruel manner.
- Kills or injures an animal without legal authority or the owner's effective consent, or causes one animal to fight with another.
Animal is considered a domesticated living creature and wild living creature previously captured.
Cruelty to Animals is a Misdemeanour Offense.
